December is here and the usual year-end exuberance has returned. We are seeing all-around participation by investors. FIIs, DIIs and retail seem to be on the lookout to buy new ideas which will perform in the coming year.

Stocks which did not participate so far seem to be enjoying their moment in the sun. We are seeing momentum in the most expected places. Stocks which had a great run early this year seem to be tiring. Gradually interest in those stocks has been waning. Overall this is the season of churn, cheer and confidence.

Being more optimistic about the next year is not unusual for investors as we come to an end of a rather soft year. Investors expect more from the next year and position themselves to participate more actively in the coming year.

This December rally is a sign of investor optimism rising as 2022 fades out.
